Tail of the Log

    Is it possible to take a backup of the tail of the log through MSMS rather than through Transact SQL ? If so how ?

    It's possible.

    Just select in the General tab: backup log: transaction log and in Options tab select "Back up the tail of the log, and leave the database in the restoring state".
