Tail log backup

    Hi,

    We have a databse Mydb in SQL Server 2005 Standard edition on Primary and SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition on Secondary. Log shipping has been configured for Mydb database.

    Now we are performing DRT test and brough the secondary online by restoring the tail backup of Primary ( Taking the Tail backup of primary with NORECOVERY & the Primary is in restore mode now)

    Then we entered some new Transactions in Secondary and performed the tail backup of secondary & put it in restore mode and now want to apply the tail log of secondary to primary and bring the Primary online. It is worked for me on same editions. But will it cause any issues if we applu Tail log backup of Standard edition of database on Enterprise?

    as this post is a day old I presume you have discovered by now that the log will apply ok.
