Tables open very slowly

When I try to open a table in SSMS (right-click table, Open), the data paints row by row VERY slowly - almost 1 row / second depending on the width of the row. A co-worker sees the entire table open almost instantly. The table is very small - 30 rows, 3 columns and takes about 25 seconds to write to the screen. Any ideas on what's going on here?

Are they identical machines pulling the data up?

Sorry about the slow reply - I wasn't notified that you had responded.

The machines are identical - Dell D610 laptops created from the same image and as far as I can tell, the same software installed.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Of all things it was a video driver. I updated the video driver to the latest version and everything opens in a snap. Nothing else on my machine seemed to be affected.

Thats crazy. You would never think the video driver would affect text like that.
