Understand that some SQL best practices mentioned that it is better to assign the table owner to a user id instead of leave it as dbo.
But can i assign the table owner as one of the user-defined database role id? any impact?

can I see a link to these best practises?
All best practises I've seen mention that all objects should be owned by dbo.
(permission chaining, limiting wildgrowth,...)
Databases are normally owned by sa (since that account can't be removed)
