I must admit that I wasn't sure whether, having aliased the table/view (let's call it object), you could then use the original object name in the SELECT list. However, there was only one option where the first three statements were successful, so that made it easy.

@hugo: Yes, you couldn't deploy from a case sensitive dev environment to an case insensitive server.
Still I didn't understand why I should use case sensitivity in my dev environment. I try to configure it as production like as possible to avoid any of those effects mentioned.
This case sensitivity is something that used to drive my crazy on Oracle systems when using double quotes centuries ago...
