The difference between DDL and DML results in a Operand data type varchar is invalid for subtract operator exception. Was that a trick question?? (several days later I am editing my response because I agree with later posts about professionalism and people's use of this site for research (but not removing because, well... because). Here is my excuse for my tongue-in-cheek answer: I noticed the trend in questions by the same user and made an assumption that either the person was just trying to build up their points (is this edit worth another point in addition to my original post BTW :Whistling: ), or just misusing the forums, the interview thing seems even more logical)

Wow you guys look like a***** right now...
I'm glad to not be a part of this anymore!
It seems like a legit question to me. If you think this is an interview question then just come back 24 hours later and give the answer, no need to laugh at him / her.

nevermind... I saw his other "questions" from this morning...
if you can waste time posting why not use google!!!

Remi you've got to look at the recent posts; he's pasted about a dozen interview questions to the forums, instead of googling. Even changed his screen name once since this morning.
I admit it's a bit of a pile on now, but he didn't even bother to google a single question.

go to active threads, you will see 10 or more of these type of questions all posted at the same time. Its either an interview question or poor use of a forum environment.

I agree, I think it appropriate if you removed the a word from your earlier post.
