What would cause sysperfinfo to be empty? We did nothing (intentional) during the install to remove or disable any perfmon features that would normally show up here. This instance of SQL2000 is running on a Windows 2000 Cluster, but other than that, it's pretty vanilla (our other SQL2000 servers have populated sysperfinfo tables). I have found two obscure references to this issue on the MS KB, but both apply to SQL7, and neither appears to be relevant to our problem even if it did officially apply to SQL2000. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Tnx!

Well... Check how many databases you have. There is a mention on MS site that attached to sysperfinfo table. It may not work right if number of databases exceeds 99.

If sysperfinfo is empty it means the perfmon counters for sql server are not working - this is a known bug and there are lots of articles on how to restrt them.
A server restart often does th trick - depends if its a prod or test box / cluster - check elsewher on this site or on ms site - can't remember the exact command off hand - sorry.
