I have a user in every database called SYS. Is this a default account? I go to properties its not tied to any logins. You cant set securables or extended properties (not there) when going to properties of the user. If you try to dorp it says Cannot drop the user 'sys' but gives no other info.
What is this... and if its not some system account what should I look at to be able figure out why it wont drop.

I knew there was a sys schema. But there is an associated user sys as well that has no login? I never really noticed, but I ran a script to get all users with no login account as part of a cleanup, which is how I came accross this.
I thought in 2K5 they allowed schemas without the need for users (unlike 2000 and prior versions)?
