Hi All,
My employer has recently migrated a database from Sybase ASE 12.5.3 to SQL Server 2008 R2.
After the migration, if I try to store a certain special character "bullet point" through the Java application, it is getting stored as a different value.
But the same "bullet point" is written to the database correctly, if I use the query editor in SSMS.
Have any one noticed this kind of issue before..?
Is it because of the collation?
Can you help me?
Thanks!
Siva.

I suspect that this has more to do with the client settings than the server's.

Thanks for your response. I think the same too. Not sure if you have faced a similar situation before..

I saw something like this a long time ago. As I recall it had something to do with the code page settings on the clients.
