Switch the network connection

    Hi,

    I need to physically switch the network connection of one

    of my SQL servers to another network switch. The server and

    the agent service are running under the domain accounts. I

    plan no external activity on the SQL server during the time

    of switching. Is it OK to leave it running and continue to

    work after the switching is done or do I need to

    stop/restart the SQL server?

    If you are talking about pulling the network cable out of one switch and plugging it into another then in my experience you can get away with doing this (I have even managed to do this "live" when a faulty cable was causing occasional network drops)
