Hi
We temporarily lost the drive allocated for our SQL transaction logs. Several dbs were marked as suspect, presumably because they were trying to write to that drive.
When I tried to offline or detach the dbs, SS said the db didn't exist. If I tried sp_resetstatus, it said the status was OK.
Eventually, trying to detach the db and saying OK to @Problem occurred with detach' and Cancel to DB doesn't exist, the db was detached. Re-attaching worked fine.
What should happen in this scenario and what is the recommended practice for recovering from this kind of error.
Thanks.

You have one viable courses of action available that I can think of.
Restore from the last clean backup - yes data loss will occur but there will be no corruption and you now just how far back,
Then you have the 'hack' approach ...
