Subscriber & constraints

  • We have transactional replication setup. I saw they created constraints & relationship in the subscriber also.

    Really do we need to have constraints on subscribers. This is one way only. Not updatable sunscribers

  • No - you don't need constraints on the subscriber. All you need are the primary keys for replication - assuming that you are not replicating stored procedure execution (you would then need indexes that support the logic of the stored procedure otherwise you risk poor performance on the subscriber).

  • How to find we are executing the sp execution in subscriber db
