I'm in the process of setup a new SQL2K cluster server. Is there any good stress test tool available for this purpose. I do use SQLIOstress from Microsoft but the result seems inconsistence which SA doesn't think is a valid test.

Are you looking to stress SQL only or include the application? Not sure that SQL Server stress along tells you much other than a benchmark for different SQL hardware.

I've used Loadrunner, Quest stress, MS Web stress tool to test web apps against SQL Server.

Also the resource kit is supposed to ahve a stress utility, DB Hammer.

I'm trying to stress SQLonly. The reason I have zero confidence on the cluster H/W we are using.
