Hi all,
I am replacing a fixed category structure with a free form tagging structure.
The tags will be one (parent record) to many (tag record).
I like the simplicity of just storing them as delimited varchar columns BUT what I run into is the issue of splitting these back up for the purpose of creating auto suggestions.
So if we have 'feedback, testing' as a tag entry I can search easily enough but if I wanted to get out a list of individual tasks I'm stumped as how to do it effectively.
The alternative is to normalise and go with relationship tables.
Anyone have any thoughts..?
