Strange log events on replicated DB

  In my errorlog I am getting hundreds of messages "starting up database 'dbname'".  I don't get this for any other databases except when restarting SQL Server.  Does anyone have a guess what clould be going on.  The only unique thing about this database it is being replicated (Pull on Demand Replication).  I also have 2 other db being replicated but I don't get the same symptoms.

  I think you have the database setting autoclose turned on
