Stored Procedure

    Hi,

     

    I would like to know how to use a stored procedure in a report?When i try to enter the sp name in the query it is not accepting,should i change any settings anywhere to accept sp.

    Can you please post exactly what you are typing that doesn't appear to be working?  Where are you trying to run the sp from?

    In the report designer, on the data tab, select the 'Generic Query Designer' (it should be the 4th button to the right of the dataset drop down box).  Then, to the right of that, change the 'Command type' to StoredProcedure.

    When you go to run the report, it will prompt you for any parameter values (if there are any).
