Staying on top of CUs and SPs

  • Hi all - Can anyone tell me how I can be informed about new releases for my versions of SQL. I am wanting to stay on top of the updates as they come out.

    I have heard their is a mailing list but I have not yet found this.

    Thanks

    Actually, this sounds like an opportunity for the SSC/Red Gate Folks if they can easily dedicate the resources for gathering the info; add a new mailing list that goes out once a week or so reminding everyone of the current updates and service packs, along with other news and advertising;

    I would certainly add myself to another list that had some SQL content along with a box at the bottom listing current versions and available CU's... you know, SQL 2000 = SP4, SQL 2005 = ??, SQL 2008 =?? SQL 2008R2 = ???/CU???

  • the weekly newsletter already reports when SPs come out. I don't see a need to keep up with CUs, but Steve does maintain a build list.
