Dear Everyone
I wanted to know if there is a way to gather database growth from system statistics besides the MSDB table.
Doesnt SQL have any tools to take care of this?
Have a great day everyone

Dear Kal,
You can also use various Standard Reports provided by Microsoft in SQL Server Management Studio. Please see if it serves your purpose.
You can also use Policy Management feature of SQL Server. This is very cool feature of SQL. You can define the Policy to send alert if database size exceeds certain limit.
Please read the following article on Policy Management for more information -
Thanks,
Brahma.

Dear Brahma
Where can I find the standard reports?
I'll google it also but it'll be faster from someone who's used this feature.
Thanks
Kal

MDW also has some decent functionality for managing and reporting on this, as well as a range of other performance and management related stuff

I'm a DBA.
I'm not paid to solve problems. I'm paid to prevent them.

Sorry I missed to mention it. Please right click on the server instance in the Object Explorer and then go to Standard Report. There are various Standard Reports that may be helpful for you. 🙂
Please refer the following link. It may help you.
