Start a Notification Service

I am trying to start a an instance of notifcation instance called Tutorial on my local SQL Server 2005 server and I keep getting the following error:
The Notification Services instance encountered an error in one of its components and must stop.
EventParameters:
Instance Name: Tutorial
Problem Description: The database was created with or upgraded to a different edition of Notification Services. Use the Notification Services edition that the database expects.
Notification Services Edition: Standard Edition
Database Edition: Enterprise Edition
InstanceName: Tutorial
Component: Service
ComponentDetails: ServiceName: NS$Tutorial
Thread: 4
I don't know how this is happening because I never had another version of SQL Server 2005 on my box. Any advise would be great.

i looked in google groups and everyone who responded witht eh same error had instaleld the free copy, and then the production copy, which was technically a different version:
sounds like an uninstall/reinstall.
