Hello!
I'm working on a report in SSRS towards data in a cube, and everytime (99 out of 100) I choose Preview, Visual Studio decides to shut down. I have tried to repair VS from Add/Remove programs, I even tried to reinstall the whole SQL SERVER 2005 without fixing this problem.
Have anyone had this problem before? And how did you get around/fix it?
Really appreciate help with this one

I have not seen this so I am assuming you don't have enough memory to process the Cube and render it in SSRS. So you need to find out why SSRS cannot consume your cube, it took a while to open your attachment.
Kind regards,

I would always make sure that you have the latest service pack installed. Do you have any service packs installed? I would download and install SP3 and see if this resolves your issue. Are you running everything locally (BIDS, SQL, SSAS, SSRS, etc.)?
SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 (SP3) – now available
And next time upload a jpg:)

Hey!
- Thanks for the help (and sorry for the big file, changed it to jpg...). After trying a lot of things, I think it went down to some sort of problem with my cube. I got a tip that VS could shut down with these kinds of error messages when there was something corrupt with the cube. Therefore, I tried a new report with a differient cube and it all worked out fine.
Thanks for your answers 🙂
