We are using Extended Properties on Table/View columns to document, yes I said document, the long description of the column. We are using these Views to create Data Source Views (.dsv) within Visual Studio and eventually Report Models for SSRS and Report Builder.
The problem…
When we create a new Data Source View, the extended properties information (MS Description) is not being copied from the SQL Views. All the books online say they should be copied, but it is not happening.
I am using VS2005 and SQL Server 2005.
Am I missing a setting or ???
