I have designed a report which looks fine in BIDS but when I deploy it to the Report Server a big gap appears in the middle of the page. The gap appears between a chart control and a table control (I'd show you but can't see anywhere how to attach files) but as I said in BIDS the gap is not there?!
Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks

The rendering in BIDS is sometimes a little different. Gaps like you are describing are often just mis-aligned controls. Make sure you don't have something a little bit off.
It can also be caused by different versions of the rendering engines. Make sure your client tools and the server are running the same version and service pack of SSRS.

Hi Michael,
I've just upgraded the server to sp2 to match the version of the client tools on my PC but the gap is still there. The controls are placed on the page sequentially. It is almost as if there is a page break after the first control.
Thanks

Hi Michael,
I had another look and although the controls did not appear to overlap in BIDS I moved them down ever so slightly and now the gap has been removed!
Thanks for your help.
