SSRS Page Counting on Reports

  As we are moving our reports to our SQL 2008R2 server (from 2005), we have noticed that some reports that used to display "1 of 256" in the page portion of the report, now display as "1 of 2?". If you click the "last page" button it will show as "256 or 256" and then it's fine after that. Does anyone know why this is? Is there a remedy for this?

  I've had the same "issue" when showing the reports on the web. However iirc when exporting that issue was gone.

  My guess was that MS changed the way the reports are processed so that it's more performant.
