Hello and Happy Friday!
I have been searching for a migration tool for SSRS that is similar to the SSIS package upgrade wizard. I am running a simulated migration with a VM box to prepare for our actual upgrade. Unfortunately, I have not found any decent tools that assist with moving reports and subscriptions. It seems the only way to do this is to back up and restore the reporting databases and manually add and open each report to report manager (I have 100+ reports, so I am not looking forward to that).
The following Microsoft tool does what I want, but it only works for 2008 R2 - current. I am migrating from 2005.

Any guidance on this issue would be appreciated!

Hi,
The best tool for the job in my opinion is rsscripter, this was written by an MVP and should allow you to copy reports and subscriptions from one server to another and most importantly is compatible with most of the different versions of SSRS.

Yea, I saw this but I was wondering if MS had anything else. Surprising that the tool MS offers is only compatible with 2008 R2 and higher. One would think that due to the major differences between SSRS 2005 and 2008, that they would create a tool for an easier migration.
Thank you for the clarification.
