SSRS MIGRATION

    I need to migrate my SSRS db to another test server.

    When I install SSRS on my new server it will already have the RS dbs on it.

    Do I just restore the old dbs over this. Backup and restore certificates from the original server.

    This will result in all my reports being present on the new test server?

    If you do that you will lose any existing report and data source on the new server. If you are fine with that, then yea that should work, it's worked for me in the past.

    But if you need to be more granular you can use a utility such as this.

    Yes if you restore reporting service db and certificate it will run... all reports

    but sometimes you can error in substcriptions

    Execellent always good to have it confirmed. The new server will have no reports on there so all seems fine. These are test servers so I imagine they will have very little subscriptions. But I will keep that in mind.
