I have created an SSRS matrix report with drill down functionality. The report is very very slow in processing if it even processes at all. The report runs relatively fast without the drill down functionality in SSRS.
However, when I view the data dynamically by connecting the underlying data source to Excel it runs much much faster. Is there any remedy for this in SSRS or should I just considered presenting the data via Excel.
Thanks
Steven

SQL Server Newbies
Line comments starts with two dashes(–) and ends with carriage returns. Everything between two dashes(–) and carriage returns is considered as comment. This comments can be placed anywhere in the code. This comment can be placed after code in the same line and everything before two dashes (–) will execute like normal T-SQL and after two dashes(–) will not be executed and considered as comment.
