I have ssrs 2008 installed on windows 2008r2, there are some reports schedule to run, the job runs fine, but subscription email doesnt get delivered, after spending some time, i got this error message on report server logs
ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException:
The report server has encountered a configuration error. , AuthzInitializeContextFromSid: Win32 error: 5;
possible reason - service account doesn't have rights to check domain user SIDs.;
Info: Microsoft.ReportingServices.

Please let me know if anyone know prior knowledge about this error.

To be honest, I don't know if this is the issue, and I have not even tried to recreate the issue.
To me, it seems that the Service Account does not have access to look up users in Active Directory. The most common reason for this would be that the server is running as LocalSystem or a local user account.
