hi,
I need help to deploy the reports on report server.
I have the following below given error.
The permissions granted to user 'domain\username' are insufficient for performing this operation.
Please help me to solve this issue asap.

It is quite easy to spot the problem:"The permissions granted to user 'domain\username' are insufficient for performing this operation."

The user trying to deploy reports doesn't have access to the folder he/she is trying to deploy to.

Who set up the SSRS instance? I would advise someone who is familiar with SSRS Security to set it up, to ensure it is done properly - security is not something you want to be flaky.

Hi,

This security documentation realy resolved my issue.I have successfully configured SSRS security.

Now the user has rights to access report server database.

What do you exactly do to can deploy it?

I read a lot of posts and documments and I'm not able yet to deploy the report.

I'm not a DBA and I've read this post: http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic831821-162-1.aspx#bm832507

But I'm not sure were I need to give access to the user.

But every time that in Visual Studio I try to Deploy the report, request me the user and password and althow I use the proper user, never accept it and I cannot deploy.

You need to SSRS by http://<Servername>/reportservers

Select site setting and then select security and add user. make sure you don't add that user as SYS admin or left click on Folder and select security and add user for folder level security means that user only modify thing what's in that folder.

Deploy SSRS report --- you can BIDS or copy file and published that Report.
