Server : Win2008 R2
SQL Server 2008 R2
Reporting Services 2008 R2
(Only IIS 7.5 and Reporting Service is installed on the box)
The Reporting database is in a different box.
SCENARIO 1: Port 80 (Default/http) - NOT WORKING ; https works
If i install the Report Server url as http://Server:80/ReportServer
the URL does not come up (I get http error 503 : The service is disabled).
It does not matter if ISS 7.5 is stopped or started.
If if start the IIS and type http://localhost it gets me the IIS 7 screen.
If i stop the IIS 7.7 and do telnet server 80, i find the Reporting Service
listening on the same. If i stop the Reporting service telnet errors out.
SCENARIO 2: Different Report Server URL - both http and https WORKING
If i set the Report Server url to ReportServer2 and Report Manager URL to Reports2
then both port 80 and https are working.
SCENARIO 3: Different port for http (say 8080) - both http and https WORKING
If i leave the URLs to default but set the http port to 8080 then both http and https
are working.
I am referring to the following URL
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb630449.aspx
Deploying Reporting Services and Internet Information Services Side-by-Side
It mentions SSRS2008R2 having a different port in Win XP SP2 for interoperability with IIS 5.1
and recommends having a different (non default?) URL name for the Report Server / Manager.
How do i get http://server:80/ReportServer running with IIS 7.5 installed. When i configure
both Port 80 and Port 553 against the Report Server Url in Report Service Configuration tool
i see only the 443 showing up. The 80 does not seem to be getting registered. Any ideas?
========= MESSAGE SEPARATOR =========
I am not seeing HTTP.SYS / http.sys in C:\Windows or anywhere.
I need to have the Report Server running on port 80 with the IIS 7.5 running side by side.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Can you include a screen shot of IIS? What sites do you have setup?
Is there a site called Reports that IIS is showing?
