Hi to all. I am running XenApp on Windows 2008 R2. The database is hosted on SQL 2005 (9.0.5000). Security allows both SQL server and Windows authentication. The SQL server has started reporting numerous events:
Event Id: 17806
SSPI handshake failed with error code 0x8009030c while establishing a connection with integrated security; the connection has been closed. [CLIENT: Citrix Server IP]
Event Id: 18452
Login failed for user ''. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. [CLIENT: Citrix Server IP]
A specific AD account is used for the Citrix DB. The account is enabled. The password has not changed and does not expire.
I have done some research (eventid.net etc..) but as of yet have not resolved. Anyone seen this before?
Kind Regards,
Phil.

A neutron walks into a bar. "I'd like a beer" he says. The bartender promptly serves up a beer. "How much will that be?" asks the neutron. "For you?" replies the bartender, "no charge."
Two hydrogen atoms walk into a bar. One says, 'I think I've lost an electron.' The other says 'Are you sure?' The first says, 'Yes, I'm positive... '

Running the following on the Citrix server appears to have resolved the connection issue:
DSMAINT CONFIG /user:yourdomain\yourusername /pwd:yourpassword
I am unsure why as the password had not been changed.
Hope this might help someone (maybe if it was in a Citrix forum 🙂 )
Phil.
