In my SSMS installation whenever I save SQL code or query results it saves in Unicode format, and it seems to be a default for it. Is there any way to change this defualt to be Western European and ANSI, respectively ?
Also another question regarding setup. By default SSMS saves to My documents / SQL Srever Managemennt Studio /Projects folder. How to change this default to C:\... ?
Thanks

On the "SAVE" button in the "Save Results" dialog, there is a little drop-down arrow. Click on that and select "Save with Encoding".

I am not aware of anyway to change this, however, it will remember and return to the last place that you saved to, until you restart SSMS again.
