SSMS - Import Package Error

  • SQL 2012 - While Importing a package to msdb, i am getting below error. SQL is in cluster. I tried changing the xml file to point to node name, servername. Nothing worked out.Any help is appreaciated.

    Login timeout expired

    A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. For more information see SQL Server Books Online.

  • When saving the package to SQL Server, did you specify the entire SQL instance name?

  • Yes, I tried giving the instance name and as well as the server name. Error remains the same.

  • I am still having the same issue and error. Anybody has any ideas how to resolve this?
