SSMS Error "The Request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad request"

    I'm getting this error message "The Request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad request" when trying to work with Reporting Services using Management Studio.

    I recently installed 2008 R2 on a server and yesterday I was about to start working on setting up security roles. However, when I connected to Reporting Services using SSMS to do this I could not navigate to any of the folders. I got that error message for all folders: Jobs, Security, Roles, System Roles, and Shared Schedules. :crazy:

    Hmm. No responses yet. Well, I kept poking around on Google and have stumbled upon my answer. I'll post it here in case anybody else has this same issue and comes across my post:

    Instead of connecting to Reporting Services using...

    <SERVER_NAME>\<INSTANCE_NAME>

    I connected using the full URL...

    https://server.domain.com/reportserver
