SSMS Data Restore: Backup Set not appearing

  I'm trying to restore a database backup from an enterprise edition SQL Server 2005 to a developer's edition SQL Server 2005.

  Once I was able to retrieve this backup on to my development server but the recent backup i received from the central server I'm not able to perform the restore.

  The backup set do not apeear in the SSMS GUI at "Select the backup set to retrieve".

  But, when I try to restore using "restore database" (query window) I'm successfull in restoring both in developer's & express edition of sql server 2005.

  What could be wrong with the database backup file I have received?

  I would start investigating by comparing the

  RESTORE HEADERONLY and RESTORE FILELISTONLY information for the regular backup file

  and this miscellaneous backup file and see if there are any differences.
