  Hello - I'd like to download SSMS 2012 Express. It seems like when I google for it and get search results, the search results redirect me to the following url:

  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29062

  I installed this download but the install only appears to be for the core SS2012 database. I don't see where SSMS 2012 Express was installed on my machine.

  Is there a separate download path for SSMS 2012 Express?

  Or Is the install routine for SSMS buried as a subinstall routine?

  Or does MS not make an Express version of SSMS 2012?

  you need the version with SQL 2012 with Advanced Services or SQL 2012 Express with Tools:

  Advanced Services includes the SSMS Express version.

  since you already installed the Express engine, you could just download the tools separately.
