In SSMS 2008 (or SSMS 2005 for that matter) does the product store the various settoings one makes within the OPTIONS area, accesable from the Menu as TOOLS>>OPTIONS?
Everytime I start up SSMS2008 for the first time since my last reboot, SSMS2008 gives me the msg you get whenever you start up SSMS2008 for the firt time. It's like as if it either does not store or can not find where it stored the configuration info that most applictaions keep. Oddly enough if I look at the default path set for Query Results, labeled as 'Default Location for saving query results' (within the QUERY RESULTS portion of the OPTIONS window), it retains the same path value I specified the actual first time I every used SSMS2008 so I know that at elast some of the info in OPTIONS is being stored.
Why then does SSMS2008 think after each reboot that the product has never been used before and why does it also revert back to locations for things like new projects that are different from the actual paths I last used before reboting?
I've tired looking for a config file but don't see one.

At this point I'm goingto assume everyone is just as uncertain about where SSMS keeps its config info as I am. While it doesn't suprose me that no one hasthe asnwer I am suprised no one has run into this problem themselevs or at leastthey haven't replied to that effect ifthey have had to deal with this.
