I am trying to run a SSIS package created in BIDS 2008, If I run the package manually through BIDS [Manyallu execution of each task] it taking 45 mintues to finish. But If I schedule that same package and run through the agent job then it taking 7 hours to finish. Can any one suggest me steps to resolve this please....
SQL server BIDS version : 2008.
Service pack : SP3.
Let me know if you need any other details....
Thank you in Advance...

This could be something to do with the package running under a different user when you run it through SQL Server agent, or running from a different computer from when you run it in BIDS on your desktop. What exactly does the package do?

Actaully, this package is for updating few objectes in 'B' server from 'A ' . Here I don't understand one thing, i.e package is sitting and running from and scheduled in 'B' server only. So there is no issue with feding into or feeding from process.....
Sorry, if this is not the answer for your question let me know...
Thank you.

Actually, I need to know exactly what the package does, please. Does it have Execute SQL tasks? Script tasks? Data flows? What does each one do?
