SSIS Package Storage Location ?

  I inherited some scheduled SSIS package jobss, and am a SSIS newbie, so have a simple question.

  When I open the scheduled job, and go to step properties, in the "Package" box at the bottom, it points to : C:\SSISPackages\MyDataFeed.dtsx

  Does that mean when the job runs, it pulls the SSIS package from that location, so any changes made there will automatically get executed next time ?

  Also, since it's not stored in MSDB, I assume the C:\SSISPackages folder must be backed up for disaster recovery purposes ?
