SSIS package scheduled and running from SQL Agent mysteriously stops scheduled execution.

  I have an SSIS package running on SQL Server 2005 that was imported from VS 2005. 

  It is scheduled through SQL agent and executes twice a day.  After about a week of running,  it will just stop. 

  I don't see anything in the history log (successes or failures) that the job was even started. 

  I can manually execute the package through Management Studio,  but am puzzled about the scheduler. 

  I waited over 24 hours to see if it catches up but it doesn't. 

  I'm not even sure how look and see of the job ever started. 

  Has anyone run into anything like this?

  Is the schedule still enabled?  it almost sounds like the schedule had an end date set so that it would not run after a specified date.
