Hi,
I am opening an ssis package in BIDS and modifying the package by changing one of the connection strings and then saving the package and closing it.
But when I reopen the same package all the changes I made are lost.
Do I need to do anything other than just Saving the package?
Thanks.

Change the connection string in the .dtsConfig file.
It is an XML file. You can edit it with text editor (such as notepad).
It may not be saved along with other package files. Click SSIS from the menu in BIDS and select Package Configuration... and click on Edit button to know the config file name and path.

You will have to create the XML Configuration File before you can edit it.
