I just finished a package and when I press the green play button, which is the start debugging button the package doesn't do anything. I actually ran the package the first time manually, it actually finished and sent out the appropriate emails, but it didn't highlight steps as it ran the process. Does anyone know if there is an option that I might have mistakenly turned off or something I can do to make sure that I can see the process step through each step one by one? Almost forgot to mention, if I right click on any step and select execute task or execute container the process for that task or container runs fine and shows red if it fails and shows green as it goes through each step successfully.

Have you checked by right clicking on each data flow task whether it is enabled or not?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, but I figured it out, it was a really weird error. I fixed it by saving the package and then enabling everything and it started working again. It had nothing to do with enabling or disabling, it had everything to do with just saving the package, which to me makes no sense because whenever you run the package it auto saves anyway. Weird to say the least.

You're right, we all know that Microsoft products tend to be very particular to how you treat them
