I have a SQL Server SSIS FTP task in one of my jobs and this has been running for a while runs successfully but does not download file. I am not certain if certain upgrades were installed to SQL Server or .NET environment, but what is happening is that the FTP task succeeds, but the excel file is never downloaded. I have break points and go to the file system and check and no file is downloaded once the FTP task completes. This has been working in the past, but has been an issue since the last 3 or so weeks. Deleting and recreating the FTP task does not solve the problem. Any tips on resolving this will be very helpful.

is whatever is producing the excel file returning any rows?

Yes, it is. If I manually copy the file over and import into the database using excel connection it works perfectly. Only the FTP process does not retrieve the file.
