I am new to SSIS and I have done developments in DTS. Which is the best option in terms of performance. I have around 200 tables in the legacy database and 10 GB data.
1. Do the necessary transformation in the stored procedures and execute the store procedure in the "Execute SQL Task" in SSIS and load the transformed data to the destination table.
2. Do the transformation in SSIS tasks and load to the destination table.
I need advice from experts. Thanks in advance.

Hey man, I had to do something similar and I used dts xChange from pragmaticworks.com (which actually worked great) but I had like 500 packages. For something as small as what you're doing, you might just want to do it in SSIS but you'll almost definitely have to do some tweaking to get it all fitting right.
Hoorary for M$ and all their version support.
