I am trying use the SSIS email task for sending emails. It works for within the network but gives error for addresses outside the network.
"05/26/2009 11:50:10,,Error,20,The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 6 (2009-05-26T11:50:10). Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1
),540,7,,5/26/2009 11:50:10 AM"
1.I have checked the internet for solutions and they seem to suggest to look into filewall and anti virus to make sure they do not block the email. In my machine the anti virus is expired and i have disabled the filewall and tested. But still i get the same error.
2. I tried to change port number from 25 to 26,but that also did not work.I am also not able to run telnet.
Can someone help me with some ideas.
Thanks

If you are doing this from work, does the corporate email server allow email to these addresses? Does the corporate firewall allow it out?

Thank you very much.It was the issue with the mail server. It was not relaying to outside email addresses .I changed the mail server address and it worked fine.
