  Does anyone know if there is a tool or utility to extract metadata on the Data Flows from SQL 2005 SSIS packages in some sort of list format?

  Such as Package name, Dataflow task name, Source, Destination, Mappings. Not in a graphical or visual format, but in a format that could be imported to a table, or used in Excel.

  I have looked at BI Documenter, SSISDocumenter.com, ApexSQL DOC, SSIS Documentation Generator for SQL 2005, and BI Metadata Toolkit (couldn't figure out this last one). None seem to do what I need.

  Dear Holly,

  many years have passed since your reasonable question, and yet this new age is still lacking a proper open source tool to support SSIS documentation. Looking forward to hearing about you around 2030.
