Can you connect SSIS to a SQL Server 7.0 database?
I know you can't connect using Management Studio.
Just curious.. about to start a project, and the db will be upgraded, but the application as well, so all i need is to transform the data from old app/db to the new app/db (i know if it was only as simple as it is type it, to do it!):hehe:
i went through the thought process, and yes we do need dev/qa dbs; so they might as well be 2005, but i wonder do we need to buy license for that just get the data to a staging area? hmmmm
any thoughts?
thanks in advance

Hi,
Thanks for the response, but for some reason the OLE DB provider did not work.
However i tried the ADO.NET connection and it did work.
Have you tested this yourself? Or am I missing something?

oh ok. maybe there is something with the setup i have going on. but at this point it's probably not that important since the ADO.NET connection works for me.
thanks for your response 🙂
