I have read many articles about work arounds for making SSIS work in a clustered environments.
So, would it not be easier just to run SSIS on a single node?
Looking for comments and input as to why or why not.
Personally, I would prefer to keep services like SSIS and SSRS off of the boxes that are storing and providing user's data if I had the resouces to do so.
Just hoping for some analysis by all the esteemed members of this site.

SSRS can't be clustered, at least not officially. you have to use the Enterprise version of SQL and scale out the SSRS on separate nodes. your reportserver database will be on the clustered server and the IIS part on a separate server.
for SSIS you can just run it on both nodes. i've had problems with keeping the packages in msdb, so now we're storing all our packages in the file system and there is a daily full backup of that folder.
