Hi All,
Does anyone know if the latest version of SSDT designer (15.5.1)supports 64 bit providers? Would the SSIS designer connections(flat file / excel) work with installation of Access Data Base Engine 64 bit.

It's a 32-bit executable, if that's the question you are asking?
When you execute a package from SSDT, it spawns a process which, by default, runs in 64-bit mode and executes your package ... so is that sufficient 'support' for you?
