SSDT 2015 Regularly Crashing on Startup

  • Does anyone else find that SSDT 2015 quite often crashes the first time it is opened, after a reboot?

After that, reopening it seems to work fine ... it's just that first time.

It does write to the Event Log, but I don't know enough to do anything with the error:

  • I've noticed the same thing on multiple machines, and I've heard similar complaints from others. I haven't yet found a fix.

Thanks, Tim. It's reassuring to know that I am not alone. Presumably, MS will resolve this with an update at some point.
