We are not allowed to have persistent admin privileges on our workstation where I work. After I installed SSDTBI 2012 I noticed that I cannot preview reports in my SSRS projects or run my packages in my SSIS projects after my local admin privileges are revoked. The report preview provides the error message: "The requested upgrade is not supported by 'net.pip://localhost/PreviewProcessingService####/ReportProcessing'. This could be due to mismatched bindings (for example security enabled on the client and not on the server)." I tried changing settings in RSPreviewPolicy.config and PreviewProcessingService.exe.config without success. When I noticed SSIS was also affected I thought is was related more globally to VS. If I'm researching this correctly it seems to be related to how security is handled in v4.0 of the .NET framework. But the topic is getting out of my comfort level having little development experience. Has anyone else encountered this or know how to configure SSDT to not need local admin rights?
Thanks.

From what I can see, there is nothing in the release notes about required security. The same can be said about a lot of other topics in the release notes... It may be worth raising a case with Microsoft to clarify what rights are needed.
